A Quintessential Baltimore Event

March 2013 Young Event 1

Last Tuesday, City Council President Jack Young hosted a reception at one of South Baltimore’s quintessential landmarks. Nick’s Oyster Bar in Cross Street Market was crowded with supporters of Jack’s campaign. The fundraiser, one of two large scale events the Council President does each year, was a huge success and brought together Baltimore’s key community, labor, and business leaders to discuss the accomplishments of the council and improvements that still need to be made in 2013. With a sampling of Nick’s fare, including sushi, steamed shrimp, pit turkey, and beer, the evening ended with the Council President saying a few words about his commitment to the citizens of Baltimore City and the city itself.
